GreenMachine Summary

The GreenMachine is the solution for the frequently requested maintenance-free all-round bicycle. It is a state of the art 3D CAD/CAM designed and developed product, all components have been manufactured in a computer aided environment with very tight tolerances. The closed “Box” construction keeps all water, mud and debris out and fully protects the chain drive train. This offers a big advantage to the commuting cyclist who is riding his bike all year long through any type of weather: no more maintenance for chain, speed hub and other drive train components. The Rohloff Speed-hub with 14 speeds, offers many years of riding pleasure and shifting comfort. The high tech disc brakes guarantee sufficient braking power and great modulation during long and steep descents. The high tension mesh of the unique back support has been highly appreciated by all our test riders.

The GreenMachine is perfectly suited for short trips in the city, for long cycling holidays and everything in between. The GreenMachine is available in 3 frame sizes and can be totally fine tuned to the requirements of cyclists from 150cm up to 205 cm.

In order to further fine tune your seat position, we have made the Above Seat Steering (ASS) handle bar foldable. In the most forward position the ASS handle bar is fixed. However, since a lot of cyclists prefer to have the handle bar closer to their body, we have made the backward position of the handle bar adjustable. Like many other parts of our GreenMachine, you can adjust it according to your own personal riding style.

Finally the stem of the handle bar can be telescopically extended or shortened to fit any cyclist.

The GreenMachine is also available with under seat steering, Flevobike uses indirect under seat steering. The under seat steering version has an extended Rohloff shift grip, because the position of the hands is different. The under seat steering GreenMachine has the same options as the above seat steering version.

The GreenMachine seat and back support are designed based on the Versatile seat. Unlike the Versatile, the GreenMachine is a two wheeled bicycle, therefore there is the need for support and to be able to reach the ground with your feet (during stand still).

That’s why we redesigned the sitting surface of the Versatile into a more triangular shape especially to suit the GreenMachine. However, the concept of the mesh back support has not been changed! The unique tension system of the mesh back support, allows for full adjustment of the tension of the mesh (like on a tennis racket) according to your own personal requirements.

In this way there is no waste of energy and all your cycling efforts result into an efficient forward motion.

The GreenMachine seat cleverly combines the advantages of a mesh seat with those of a bucket seat.

On the extrusion profile of the main frame we have attached the bottom bracket and the pivot point for the rear frame. The special bracket for the seat & back support can be moved forward or backward over a length of 15 cm.

The seat angle can be adjusted infinitely according to your riding circumstances, your style and preferences. In the beginning you will probably prefer to have a more upright riding
position, but in due time with more riding experience you may want to change your riding position
to a more laid back, recumbent position. Whatever you want, our unique GreenMachine seat and
back support will always offer the most comfortable and efficient ride

For proper sizing all you need to do is take 2 sizes as shown on the drawing:
Size A is the length of your legs which determines your frame size.
Size B is the height of your shoulders which determines the size of the seat.

Make sure your back is in full contact with the wall (see the drawing) in order to avoid wrong sizing.
